Meet Katie!

Hi, my name is Katie Garrison! I have a passion for fitness and helping others reach their fitness goals!

Fitness is all about building a lifestyle of good habits one choice at a time and as a personal trainer, its my goal to help you create a healthier you every session!

“Fitness” to me is a lifestyle that constantly drives you to be healthier. That involves a lifestyle of healthy eating, regular exercise, consistent sleep patterns, good mental habits, etc.

“Fit” isn’t some lofty perfection that’s unattainable, but it’s every day. Making small changes over time that lead to a healthier you. Whatever you can do right now to improve your health that can increase your overall quality of life across your lifespan. That is my lifelong “fitness” goal.

Katie’s Background

I’ve always loved movement and activity, I tried lots of sports growing up, but I fell in love with figure skating!

I figure skated for 12 years and achieved the rank of Gold Medalist in Moves in the Field, passed the Novice Freeskate test and passed Pre Silver level in Patterned Ice Dance.

I was a Learn to Skate USA assistant coach for 5 years & USFSA Certified Coach & Choreographer for 2 years.

For skating we would use yoga for cross training regularly, and through those yoga classes I developed a love for the relaxation yoga teaches.

During Kinesiology studies in college I began to develop a love for fitness off-ice. In 2018 I earned my Personal Training certification, began training at the Campus Rec Center, and saw how I could impact other’s lives through fitness.

That passion has grown and refined over the years and still fuels me to educate and inspire others to build strength, move better, and live healthier lifestyles!
